30 Day Cosplay Challenge!
29. What is your favourite cosplay item? (eg. a pair of shoes, a wig)
MY PETTICOATS. I love and hate them so much. I have quite a few and they take up so much room, but without them my costumes would not be as fun and fluffy. Since I do such similar dress designs, I usually end up having a petticoat with them. (Or two. Occasionally I’ll layer them for the bigger dresses like the Queen of Hearts)

26. Any unfinished costumes? Will you ever finish them?
YEP. Ursula and The Mayor from the Nightmare Before Christmas. Those are the big ones, at least. Ursula I had been making and remaking on/off again for 2-3 years before I stopped. Each attempt I didn’t like and it’s been permanently put on the back-burner unless I think of an amazing way to get it done. The Mayor, however, I DO plan on finishing someday. I only started on the mask, which I didn’t like at the time, but now that I know what I’m doing, I definitely want to finish. OH! There’s also Queen Brahne from FF9, but I’m not sure what my plans are for that.
My last attempt sans tentacles-

The only thing I actually worked on was the mask, but I’m redoing it-

I only did a makeup trial before scrapping it due to poor fabric choice-

24. Your most comfortable cosplay and most uncomfortable cosplay
The comfortable one hands down goes to Minnie, because the dress I made is pretty much the same style of dress I wear normally. Although the shoes were a pain since I don’t normally wear heels. I don’t think any costume of mine is 100% comfortable. (Same could be said about Cubby - Pretty comfy, until it gets a little too hot outside) Kurumi’s may not be too bad, but I’ve only worn that for a few snap shots.
The uncomfortable one is a tie between Quina Quen and the Wicked Witch. Quina, because of all the layers, especially the jacket which was made of vinyl. The mask was blinding and close to my face, so I was constantly trapped in heat. I had to take several water breaks and practically remove half the costume so I could cool down and rest. The Wicked Witch, is facially uncomfortable. There’s the contacts (because I normally wear glasses), the make up AND prosthetics, which made talking near impossible. Actually… if I’m going that route, Ganondorf might’ve been worse since I had the itchy fake beard to deal with. lol who knows. I generally think every one of my costumes are uncomfortable.

don’t know why i don’t own these…
I need these in my life and possession.

7. The character you have cosplayed that is most similar to you (if none that you have cosplayed, then one that you will cosplay)
(I didn’t post one yesterday, so I’m catching up)
I’m actually torn between two! So the first would be Merryweather: Because of her loyalty to those she cares for, and the SPUNK she has against the ones she doesn’t. Also cute angry faces. I do those a lot, you see.

ANNNND Hirano from HSOTD. My only likeness to him is his silly/friendly nature, serious business towards the things he KNOWS, and his love for all things kawaii.

6. Your favourite cosplay (that you have done)
This changes quite frequently but I think right now it’d have to be my Queen of Hearts. I’m a HUGE Disney fan, especially for the villains (and I suppose AiW too!). Queenie is just so much fun to take photos in. She just has so much… character! All of the yelling and angry faces, man. it’s wonderful.
